Learn how to access our digital collection in our biweekly Zoom class: Intro to Library eBooks and Streaming


  • Find an ebook in our catalog or on our ebook/eaudiobook provider's websites: OverDrive and CloudLibrary. (Kindle e-ink books are only available on OverDrive)
  • Create an account using your library card number for OverDrive or CloudLibrary. Get a library card.
  • Get the eReader app for your device
  • Checked out titles appear immediately in each eReader app.
  • You can checkout as many as 10 items at a time for each provider.
  • The checkout time on most ebooks or audiobooks is 21 days. Digital materials do not automatically renew.

  • eMagazines can be found in our catalog, or on the Overdrive website or Libby app.
  • Get the eReader app for your device.
  • Titles are always available -- no wait times!
  • eMagazines are checked out in the same manner as eBooks or eAudiobooks. The eMagazine counts as one of your 10 checkouts and can be checked out for up to 21 days. Digital materials do not automatically renew.

  • Over 30,000 films are available to stream through Kanopy including documentaries, foreign films, classic movies, and more.
  • Create an account using your library card number by visiting AACPL's Kanopy page.
  • Borrow up to 10 movies per month from Kanopy (Views of educational content for children available on Kanopy Kids are unlimited and therefore not counted against this number).
  • Once borrowed, you can view the movie an unlimited number of times within a 72 hour period.
  • Titles are always available -- no wait times!
  • Kanopy is also compatible for hearing (with captions and transcripts) and visually-impaired customers (compatible with technologies such as JAWS).

O'Reilly for Public Libraries (formerly Safari Books) offers eBooks on technical topics from a range of publishers including programming, certification training, and specific software applications

Kanopy Kids has a diverse selection of educational and entertaining movies, TV Series, animated storybooks, and more. Click on Go to Kanopy Kids when you get to Kanopy.
Overdrive eReading Room for Kids contains a varied collection of picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, and more for children through ages 11.
Overdrive eReading Room for Teens has a variety of graphic novels, non-fiction and fiction books, and audiobooks for the 11 - 17 crowd.
Tumblebooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.
