Lynda.com [2] is an online education service presented by LinkedIn that can help you learn technology, creative, and business skills. Udemy [3] offers over 4,000 courses in the areas of business, tech, and personal development. Safari Books [4] offers eBooks on technical topics from a range of publishers including programming, certification training, and specific software applications.

Language Learning

Mango Languages [5] and Rosetta Stone for Libraries [6] are easy learning programs that allow you to learn a new language on your own time.

General Education

The Great Courses on Kanopy [7] include a wide ranging list of courses on topics that include cooking, science, art, music, writing, and more! Brainfuse [8] offers online academic services designed to support diverse learning needs for students from early elementary school through adulthood. Services include live tutoring, skills building, and much more. The Testing and Education Reference Center [9] contains resources to help prepare for the SAT, GED, or other tests. Practice tests and courses are also available. Help with K-12 remote learning [10]. A library card is a gateway to the resources and tools you need to make the most of learning from home. Get Started With Lynda and Udemy

Lynda

  1. Visit the Lynda login page and click the Create Profile button
  2. Enter your library card number.
  3. Create and enter a password in both password entry boxes. Your password must be at least 6 characters in length and include letters and numbers. You must submit a support ticket to Lynda to retrieve a lost password so please keep your password saved in a safe location such as a password management program and make it easy to remember.
  4. After creating your profile, you can then visit the Lynda login page to login and access your account.
  5. You are all set to find courses and start learning!

Udemy

  1. You must have a Google [13] or Microsoft [14] account to create a Udemy account.
  2. After creating an account there, visit the Udemy login page and enter your library card number.
  3. Click the Sign in/Create a Udemy account button, then login with your Google or Microsoft username and password.
  4. Browse for courses and begin your learning adventure!

Get Started With Mango and Rosetta Stone

Mango

  1. Download and open the app or visit the Mango website
  2. Follow these instructions to create a profile [15]
  3. If using the website, follow this link [5] to login with your new profile credentials
  4. If using the app, follow these instructions under the Mobile tab [16] to select Anne Arundel Public Library as your library.
  5. You are set to start learning!

Rosetta Stone

  1. Download the app if you are using a mobile device.
  2. Whether using the app or visiting the website, please make sure to start by clicking the blue Use Rosetta Stone Library Solution button on this library website page. [6] You can only access our free library version of Rosetta Stone using this link.
  3. Follow the instructions on this page [17] to set up your account on either the website or via the app on your mobile device.
  4. Set your choice of language when you login to Rosetta Stone and begin your learning experience.
